Blog #12

I think Mrs Scott's bungalow is first in front of the wood one and her bungalow is made out of glass.

Mr Tinsley lives on the second bungalow and it is made out of wood.

Apparently no one lives on the third bungalow that's made out of brick.

Mrs Umbrella and Mr Wilshaw live on the fourth bungalow made out of straw.

Blog #10 "Who stole the cake"?

I don't think you can determine who stole the cake because each suspect told exactly one lie so you can' really know who's telling the truth.

Blog #11 "Free Choice"

My free choice topic will be on the  Medieval Arts of the Western world. A vast scope of time and place, there are over 1000 of art in Europe, and at times the Middle East and North Africa. Art historians classify medieval arts into major periods and styles. Each region, mostly during the period of process of becoming  nations or cultures, no matter what you went for it had its own distinct artistic style such as Anglo-Saxon art or Norse Art. Anglo Saxon Art covers art produced with in the Anglo-Saxon period of English history. Norse Art is also known as Viking Art, which is a term accepted for the art of Scandinavia and viking settlements.

Medieval Art classify periods and styles, with some difficulty. An accepted scheme includes phases of Early Christian art, Migration Period art, Byzantine art, Insular art, Pre- Romanesque, Romanesque art, and Gothic art. Early Christian art is the art produced under Christian patronage from the earliest period of Christianity. Migration art denotes the artwork of the Germanic people during (ca. 300-900). Byzantine art is just the name for the artistic products of the Eastern Roman Empire. Insular art is the style of art produced in the Post-Roman History of the British Isles and is also known as Hiberno- Saxon art. Pre- Romanesque is the period in European art from either the emergence of kingdoms or from the Renaissance. Romanesque art is almost the same as Pre- Romanesque just that it happened from approximately 1000 AD to the rise of the Gothic style. Gothic art developed in Northern France out of Romanesque art in the 12th century.

Now and days the type of art we see is a little different but the advances of art during these times are due to the changes in more liberal religious beliefs and the efforts. Three of the most important and famous artists and sculptors of the Middle Ages are Donatello, Giotto and Cimabue. Donatello contributed to the Medieval art forms of the Middle Ages dating from 1066-1485 and was famous for his Medieval Florentine paintings. On the other hand, Giotto began painting when him and others worked at the Basilica of San Francisco at Assisi, painting a fresco cycle with scenes from the Old and New Testaments. Cimabue was known as the " Father of Italian painting ", he made mosaics and paintings, which included the Frescoes of New Testament seen in the upper church of St. Francis of Assisi. He was the last great painters who worked in the Byzantine tradition but also a founder of the movement towards greater realism which culminated in the Renaissance.

Blog #4 bucket list

1) One of the things I want in my bucket list is to save up for a car. Getting a car is one of the important things I want to get in the future because with a car u get to travel to places you haven't been before.

2) My second goal in my bucket list is buying a nice house with a nice big patio and invite friends over and talk about life. I prefer a house than apartment because with a house is just one big payment and apartments are due every month, and their prices go up whenever a new person moves in.

3) Third goal I want to accomplish is to become an art teacher. I love art and I'm really good at it. When I don't have things to do I grab a pencil and paper and start drawing whatever I can think of.

4) I also want to become one of the fastest runners since people have told me I run fast and also won a little trophy for always being the first one to finish the mile.

5) The last goal for my bucket list is to travel the world and get to know many places before dying. I would like to accomplish this last goal with my kids and husband so we can make tons of memories.

Blog #7 "How many Handshakes"

    1) If there is a total of 10 students in the class and every student shakes hands with all other students than there will be 100 handshakes in total.

    2) If an eleventh student enters the classroom than there will be a total of 110 handshakes.

    3) If there were 20 students in the class than there will be a total of 200 handshakes.

Blog #9 My top three

 1.   When I was going to 7th grade at Ensign school, one of my closest friend wanted to join the  school band but not by herself so she convinced me to join with her and decided to play the same instrument choosing the Trombone. I had no idea how big it was, how did it sound, how to use it, i had no idea what instrument it was. When I tried playing it for the first time it sounded horrible but through out the days I learned each note and got the hang of it.

 2.   My second instrument I learn to play was the saxophone.  The saxophone is my favorite one because I like how it sounds and I like how the keys feel when you're playing it.  It's pretty heavy and there's a lot of pieces to put together before playing it.  I played a year at Ensign and a year at Newport Harbor band.  I think saxophone is one of the hardest instrument's to play since it has a lot of keys and had to know how to put the mouth piece right or else it sounds squeaky when you blow for sound. The only hurtful thing when you're done playing is your neck because to hold it you had to hang it from your neck and all the pressure is in your neck.  I'm glad I learn to play the saxophone.

3. The last instrument I learn is the bass clarinet. I don't remember much of the clarinet because when I first played it I was going to elementary school and haven't grabbed one since then. The clarinet is almost like the saxophone just that in small version and it sounds way different. I liked it because we didn't really had to carry it and didn't had to stretch my fingers as much as I did with the saxophone when I tried to play a special note. All three instruments are interesting to play, I enjoyed playing all three and if I had the chance to play them again, I would.

blog #3 Favorite Hobby

One of my favorite Hobby after school hours is play soccer at a place call soy. I’ve been playing since little, i used to be in my elementary girls soccer team. Soccer is a really fun sport to play. Some people call it soccer some call it Futbol, in Spanish. My favorite team is Barcelona and one of my favorite players is Messi. Soccer is my favorite hobby because it’s not just a fun thing to do but it also helps you with your health, like your leg muscle and gets your heart stronger. I also like to play FIFA, a really fun Xbox game.
I really enjoy playing soccer, sometimes I would call my best friend and she’ll come over to play Xbox, sometimes she’ll win me but sometimes I would. I’m a little sad now that she’s leaving to Mexico and maybe this time for the rest of her life. I’m going to miss all those fun times when she would come to my house around 5 pm and we would play soccer outside. Now is all about focusing in school and work.
soccer is a really known sport and fun to play that even parents start getting their kids of ages 5 and up to learn the game so they can join a soccer team. My little nephews ages 4 and 5 are already playing soccer for their school soccer team. If they practice and practice throw out their life, they have many chances of becoming a professional soccer player winning millions of dollars. I think it’s better for little kids to start getting good at something they like, so that way they grow to be someone and not fall for those kids that try to bring you down just so u can be as cool as them. It also depends on what kind of choices you make and always go for the best one.
